4 Days Murchison Falls Safari

Day 1: Arrive in Entebbe and transfer to the hotel

On this first day of your 4 days Uganda wildlife safari, you will arrive at Entebbe International Airport, go through immigration, and later meet our company representative. They will assist you with the luggage to the vehicle and transfer to your booked hotel in Entebbe or Kampala.

After checking in, your private safari driver for the trip will give you a briefing on the tour before they leave. Later, have dinner and rest.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park and visit the top of the falls

Looking forward to an approximately 6-hour road transfer, you are expected to check out of your hotel right after breakfast and set off to Murchison Falls National Park. You will have an enroute lunch in Masindi, proceed with the journey through the southern gate of Kichumbanyobo and Budongo forest where you may spot colobus monkeys. Drive straight to the top of Murchison Falls and enjoy its splendor. While at the falls viewing point, you will get showered by the water from the falls.

Later, drive to your lodge, check in, have dinner, and rest.

Day 3: Morning game drive and Afternoon boat cruise

This day is a must-have on any Murchison Falls safari – the day with the game drive and the boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. It starts with an early breakfast at the lodge, followed by a drive to the plains in the park’s northern section where most animals roam. Expect to see big herds of buffaloes and antelopes. You may come across hippos as they return to the waters after feeding at night. Also, expect sightings of lions and leopards. Elephants are commonly seen in the woodlands.

After about 4 hours of exploring the plains, you will return to the lodge, freshen up, have lunch, and go for the boat cruise. From the starting point of the launch cruise and back, it will take you about 3 hours. It is an amazing experience to watch countless hippos in the water and other animal species such as crocodiles and a variety of bird species on the shores. In the middle of the cruise, you will pause to view the stunning bottom of the falls formed by the Nile waters after going through the 7m gorge and proceeding to Lake Albert.

From here, drive back to the lodge.

Day 4: Drive to Entebbe

As you wind up your 4 Days wildlife safari, you will have a short game drive for a chance to see animals that you may have missed out on day 3. Later, exit the park and drive to Entebbe, with an enroute or packed lunch. You will arrive at the airport in the late afternoon or evening and wait for your departure flight.
