3 Days Bwindi Safari through Kigali

Day 1: Arrive Kigali and transfer to Bwindi

Given the approximately 3.5 hour transfer from Kigali to Bwindi, it is advisable to consider a morning arrival at Kigali International Airport. When you arrive at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative outside the customs and immigration hall. They will receive you and help with luggage, transfer to the vehicle and drive to Kigali city. Have lunch in Kigali

and transfer to Bwindi’s southern sector for your stay and gorilla trek the next day.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking

After an early morning breakfast at the lodge, have your packed lunch and drive to the park offices for a briefing before entering the forest for gorilla trekking. Most of the lodges are located on average 10-minute drive from the park gate. The trek can go up to 2 – 4 hours or even more. In the afternoon, you will return to the lodge and rest.

In the evening, you have an option to visit the Batwa community for a cultural tour. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Drive back to Kigali

On this last day of the short safari, you will enjoy your breakfast at the lodge, and check out. Set off back to Kigali for your departure flight. Before proceeding to the airport, you will first have a 2 hour tour at the Genocide Memorial.
