Get on the 6 Days Uganda Safari to Lake Mburo National Park and Queen Elizabeth national park for wildlife viewing and Kibale National Park for chimpanzee trekking. It is a rewarding tour showing off magnificent mammals and primates in these three wildlife destinations. You will see chimpanzees and other primates in Kibale forest, and antelopes, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and leopards in Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo National Parks.

Detailed Itenary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our driver/guide who will transfer you to your hotel and assist you to check in. he will give you a briefing of of the tour and later leave to allow you to relax and have the overnight stay.

Accommodation options: Pineapple Guesthouse, Hotel Africana or similar.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your  driver/guide and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest savannah park in Uganda. About an hours drive from Kampala, you will make a stop at the Equator for photos and to witness the water experimental demonstrations.

On arrival at the park, you will continue to the plains for a short game drive where you may see zebras, impalas, hyenas, buffaloes, and other animals in the park. Go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo, which is home to hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, and several bird species.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Breakfast in the morning and a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is the second-largest park in Uganda and one of the most visited. The route allows lovely views of rolling hills and beautiful landscapes. You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for the boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. This is a must do while at Queen Elizabeth National Park and it offers a chance to get up-close with wildlife like hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and warthogs, plus different bird species.

Day 4: Game drive and transfer to Kibale National Park

Today, you will wake up early, have breakfast and set out for the morning game drive. You have chances to see predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas among others. Common animals you will see are buffaloes, antelopes, and warthogs. Elephants can be seen in the plains, woodlands or at the waterbodies. Lunch will be followed by a road transfer to Kibale National Park, with a forest renowned for its rich primate diversity. On arrival, check in at the lodge and prepare for the following day’s chimpanzee trekking.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk

Rise up to an early morning breakfast and move to Kibale Forest for the chimpanzee trekking activity. The forest is home to over 13 primate species, including chimpanzees, black-and-white colobus monkeys, red colobus monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys among others.

Your ranger guide will lead you through the forest trails to search for the chimpanzees. On finding them, you will have an hour with them and later return to your lodge. Later in the day, head out for a walk around Bigodi swamp. You will enjoy the rich swamp and may encounter more primates and various bird species with a chance to see the great blue turaco.

Day 6: Return to Kampala or Kigali

This day, you will prepare to check out, have your breakfast at the lodge, meet your driver/guide and drive back to Kampala or Entebbe. En-route, you may make a stopover at the Nakayima tree, a historical and cultural site which is believed to be more than 400 years old. While here, you will learn about Buganda culture and how their medicine men used this tree to communicate with spirits. Arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the afternoon.
